Anita Padilla, MSN, PMHnp-bc, adhd-ccsp, cimhpnurse practitioner, directorAnita is an ANCC board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in Texas. She also holds board certification as a registered nurse for psychiatry and gerontology. Anita acquired her bachelor of science degree in nursing in 2012 from Texas A&M Corpus Christi (TAMUCC). She went on to continue her education at Wilkes University in order to obtain her master of science degree in nursing in 2019. In 2022, Anita attended Cornell University to obtain a certificate in Wellness Counseling. She also holds and attention deficit disorder certified clinical services provider certification. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Nurse Education at Liberty University.
Anita has almost a decade of broad experience in psychiatry. She has worked with patients of all ages and diagnoses in acute care, home health, and outpatient settings. She has also worked as an adjunct psychiatric clinical professor at TAMUCC. Anita has also volunteered her time as a content expert for the American Psychiatric Nurses Association’s education modules. Anita is also a certified integrative mental health professional. This certification has enhanced her knowledge as a provider for those who are interested in alternative treatments to support mental health such as nutritional support, yoga, meditation, skin brushing and cultural healing. It is her goal to foster alternative healing, promote healthy coping mechanisms and help guide others in a journey to achieving overall health–for both the mind and the body. Throughout her experience, she has encountered many people who want alternative methods of managing their health. Unfortunately, she has found that the same people either don’t have the access to resources or have no idea where to start. Thus, ZenDeva was born. It is a forum to explore dynamic aspects of holistic wellness and healing. |
Whitney Baskett, Msn, fnp-c, pmhnp-bcnurse practitioner, directorWhitney Baskett is board certified as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) and as a family nurse practitioner (FNP). She obtained her bachelor’s of science in nursing (BSN) at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMUCC) in 2013 and became experienced as a psychiatric mental health nurse working in a mental health facility in Corpus Christi for approximately 5 years. She completed her master’s of science in nursing at TAMUCC and obtained her FNP in 2018. She started her FNP career working in San Antonio at a local community clinic caring for acute psychiatric and chemical dependency patients. She then began working in Corpus Christi for several years gaining experience in family practice and minor emergency medicine. Whitney then decided to obtain her post-master’s certification as a PMHNP at Maryville University in 2020 and has since begun practicing as a mental health practitioner. She has had extensive previous experience working with wellness clients and mental health clients in an inpatient and outpatient setting, and administering ketamine infusions.
Whitney has always been interested in exploring unique, evidence-based treatments for those who want or require alternative care other than just the typical routine treatments. She has grown an interest in learning multi-cultural remedies from around the world to assist individuals in their healing of both physical and mental health. Whitney wants to guide others in connecting their mind, body, and soul so they may discover their own zen. |
eliana rosetewellness consultant, assistant managerEliana Rosete holds a master of social work degree from Our Lady of the Lake University, a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Texas A&M University: Corpus Christi, and two associate of arts degrees from Del Mar College, one in liberal arts and the other in psychology.
Eliana has previous experience interning in an outpatient group therapy setting for adults struggling with mental health disorders and working with residents at a state-supported living center working with adults with intellectual disabilities. She has experience working as a resident services manager at two low-income housing properties in Nueces county. Here she helped provide case management and referrals to community resources for those in need and organized communal events like food bank food drives. Eliana has worked in an inpatient psychiatric hospital assisting a diverse range of clientele (geriatric, adults, and adolescents) utilizing activity therapy to help explore healthy leisure and coping mechanisms while promoting healthy socialization skills to those struggling with mental health disorders. Before this, Eliana worked with children with autism using applied behavioral analysis techniques to help reach the clients' and their families' therapeutic goals. Eliana’s interests and passions involve creating works of art utilizing paint as a primary medium. Eliana believes that using art is not only a source of a healthy creative outlet but a healthy coping mechanism to combat stressors. Eliana feels using art in therapeutic practice in conjunction with therapeutic ideologies and that the act of creating art itself can help an individual. Eliana strives to share her art and spark initiative for others to engage in the creative process no matter what skill level a person may be! |
